On the 27th of December 2021, the Closing conference within the RESCUE project was held in Novi Sad. The event was held at the Central University building – the Amphitheater, with 57 people in attendance. This special ceremony at the end of such an important project gathered representatives of local and regional authorities which supported the RESCUE project, professional organizations and companies who participated in the realization of the project, project partners from partner institutions, representatives of the University of Novi Sad as well as academic society and students.

Special honor at the beginning of the event was given to Prof. dr Boris Dumnić from FTN Novi Sad to open the event and give a brief overview of the RESCUE project and activities of other partner institutions that will be presented during this event and to thank all those who supported the RESCUE project and enabled its successful implementation. Representatives of the provincial secretariats, representatives of the University of Novi Sad, representatives of project partner institutions from Serbia and Croatia and participants of the project partners spoke about the project and its importance for project partners, cross-border region, citizens in the cross-border region and project participants themselves.

At this ceremony, the representatives who greeted the attending guests were: 
-    Smiljka Jovanović, Provincial Secretary of Finance of AP Vojvodina
-    Vidosava Enederić, Director of fund „Evropski poslovi“
-    Prof. dr Velibor Čabarkapa, principal of Covid Hospital Mišeluk
-    Prof. dr Nikola Jorgovančević, Vice-Rector for Science and Art of University of Novi Sad

After this formal introductory section of the event, a representative from each partner institution had a short presentation in order to present the institution and capacities realized at the institution during the project as the institution’s main role within the RESCUE project. This special event was adequately covered by the presents of the media, which only shows how important the RESCUE project is for the development of all partners’ institutions in this project.

In addition to the formal part of this event, social networking and gala dinner were organized for all participants in the beautiful ambiance of the restaurant „Alaska terasa“ in Novi Sad. This final part of the closing conference event was an ideal opportunity to look back, see what we have achieved during project implementation and make new plans for the future ahead!
